Residential Services

The Daughters of Charity Disability Support Services provide a wide range of residential services in the North Dublin area ranging from a significant number of community based houses,  small residential centres to large campus based settings inclusive of clustered accommodation. The future plans for the community services is to provide a range of living options including apartment living with person centered supports.

Community Residential Services

There are currently 37 residential houses in the Dublin 7 and Dublin 15 areas stretching from Cabra to Clonee providing full & part- time & semi-independent residential & respite care to a large number of adult service users. They are homes to both males and females with mild, moderate and severe intellectual disabilities. The service is person centered and each service user has a person centered plan and circle of support to achieve that plan. (Read more)

St. Louise’s centre


St. Louise’s’ Centre provides  full-time residential care to a small number of  service users with moderate intellectual disability.  In 2007 a major development plan was completed consisting of 9 purpose built residential bungalows. The Centre is designed to a very high standard with state of the art facilities, which enables the Service Users to develop their skills and confidence to participate in programmes and activities with in their local community thus ensuring they are full and active members of this community. St Josephs Centre, Clonsilla, Dublin 15


St. Joseph’s Centre is located in Clonsilla and provides a range of services for older persons with a moderate, severe or profound intellectual disability including a specialised palliative care service and a Dementia Care Service.
The individualised model of care guiding the services provided ensures that service users are encouraged to live active and inclusive lives in their retirement years. St. Joseph’s Centre also provides a day service specific for the younger person with a diagnosis of an intellectual disability and Autism. (Read more)

St Rosalie's, Portmarnock, Co Dublin


In 1963 St. Rosalie’s was opened as a holiday home for service users in the Daughters of Charity Service. In 1988 it became the permanent residence for a number of women with severe intellectual disability. Today a small number of women live in St. Rosalie’s and enjoy the added benefit of a more intimate accommodation in St. Rosalie’s . (Read more)
